The story of Somnaform Corporation started with a simple trip to the sleep doctor. The founder of Somnaform Corporation went to get medical help for his snoring and possible sleep apnea. After a series of polysomnographies and respiratory testing, a medical researcher noted something important about his snoring and sleep apnea condition. Like many people who snore had serious snoring while sleeping on his back. This is a common condition termed supine-dependent snoring. The task was to find a non-invasive way to reduce snoring and to assist with making CPAP therapy easier and more comfortable.
